Working from Kikao64 has provided me with unforeseen opportunities both professionally and personally. My initial incentive to work from a co-working space was to use it as a personal workspace in town and Kikao provided not only the necessary ambiance to focus but also the facilities required to get work done & maintain productivity. With time I got acquainted with some of the members working from Kikao64 as well and through that, I not only grew my networks but also strike productive collaborations.
One such collaboration was with a director of an IT firm to tender for a Marketing & Advertising proposal by an LPG firm. He assisted with drafting the technical piece of the proposal whereas I focused on the Marketing end. This was only possible since Kikao64 provided us with the workspace to hold meetings and the facilities to get work done. I was able to network with professionals from different backgrounds including software engineers, podcasters, religious leaders, etc.
Through Kikao64 I also got to network with Sema Box, a podcast production company based in Nairobi, which was an eye-opener for me into the Kenyan podcasting industry. I have been podcasting for over 3 years but I had never personally met podcasters in Kenya & learned about the podcasting industry in Kenya.
Kikao64 is a co-working space I definitely recommend. Co-working works!
